How we order the food list
The food list is ordered only by how much a label's ingredients overlap with the allergens you entered.
Fewest overlaps first
We look at each ingredient's type, position, and role on the label to estimate how much it overlaps with your dog's allergens, and list foods with fewer overlaps first. We don't show the number.
When overlaps are equal
Foods without unspecified animal protein come first, then foods with fewer protein sources, then labels we checked more recently, then by product name.
Regardless of partnerships
Partnerships and ads never change the order. A product with a partner link stays exactly where it would be without it.
Unverified products are left out
Products whose labels we're re-checking, or that are discontinued, aren't listed. Their product pages stay up with a notice.
